Its starting to get dark and I wish we were home
The windscreen has caught a thousand stormflies
and my fingers feel numb
The headlights are dissappearing without a trace
And I’m hiding here inside my face
So I grab your shirt and roll it under my head
So I’ll not get caught up with whats being said
This road must be taking us somewhere,
But nothing’s much clearer.
Last night we were flying, now it’s way too close in the car
We’re arguing about some song, seems for a hundred miles
You always take things to far
This in not how it started out not what we thought it would be
And it’s broken our dreams
